With this mod, once an identification chip is acquired, the playership can automatically recreate it the moment it is disposed of, provided the ship has enough cargo space left. This feature can be disabled in case the cargo space is needed. The player no longer needs to worry about ruining a game due to lost ID. In addition, acquisition of identification is an achievement listed on the "Game Statistics" screen. | |

To make a mod in which ID is completely abstract (like Nethack's intrinsics) would require overwriting multiple entities. Rather than do that, I decided to work around it by letting the player recreate lost ID anytime he wants. This way, nothing needs to be overwritten.
ID in this mod behaves almost like a sticky cursed item. Unless the player disables ID recall, lost ID recreates itself the moment you leave the jettison dockscreen. This is to protect the player from losing military items to Commonwealth customs.

Y'know, I think I can updatet Implantable ID for the newer versions of the game with far less overwriting than it had before. You're tempting me to actually work on it.
