hope you used a newly extracted (v0.99c) fueldepot and tinker station to make the mod from mines. Otherwise you get to play with 0.98 fueldepots and tinkers. (and I don't know if George updated them in some ways)
BTW have you tried F50's hard mod ?
I have completely redesigned Tinkers and I have looked at F50's code- He has a different approach to do the same things(strenghten Ranx, Ares and Ferian) F50 added a lot of weapons , I have changed rate of fire instead.He increased prices , I have removed Ferian farming.Goal is the same but it is quite a diffrent gameplay.
In this mod most difficult thing to fight with is Ares shipyard ,especially if it happen to be 2 or 3 of them close to each other.
I have realized that escort refugees mission is a bit hardcore , so You may want to switch Phobos and Sandstorm here: <EncounterTable UNID="&etAresAmbush1;">

1d2 phobos --> LOL!
Ok fixed this ,added few minor features and made Ares more reasonable ,but they still can surprise you :) !d2 Phobos will appear only near Ares shipyards and not too often.
Done some fine tuning with balance. Added expanded fuel capacity to Koshiba500 and Hyperion reactors.
Also Rama has been upgraded.

Thank you I have spend a month doing this. You can use it a s a framework to sustomize a game for your liking. If you dont like something in it just delete it or add something new :)
