This mod overwrites the Salvager Nomad and their encounter. Now everyone's favorite scavengers appear for the entire game. To survive, whenever they loot an item they see if it is better than their current weapon, and if it is they install it. They do the same with armor and shields. | |

reuploaded at 14 dls. I made the salvagers install misc devices and drives as well.
Reuploaded at 32 dls. I fixed a rare bug causing the game to crash. I also limited the salvagers to 2 primary weapons and 1 launcher.
You are mean: you did think of stray shot setting them off to make war on us?
While forgiving, they can get nasty attitudes and destroy a ship .
But think how much richer the prize will be if they can make their own loot?
i fell in love with this :) they can kill the player : but they can save you at the most interesting moments:)

Apparently, this message shows up repeatedly once a Salvager Nomad obtains too many items.

From Debug.log. This seems to happen only after a Salvager Nomad obtains too many items. It's also printed out as a single message in-game.
this is actually interesting. is it a problem with a limit of items in the cargo of ships ?
The one thing I find interesting is that one Salvager can single-handedly carry the loot from every single wreck in a system. In vanilla, this probably won't be an issue, but when you have DySys enabled, which I did...
