So how do I create the bit map and the shield pictures?
As requested by Iocrymdestroyer I created the shield hud and the large picture for the ship selection menu. Enjoy! :D

What are the image, ship, and shield dimensions for use in the ship, shield, and image XML blocks?
I have been using the image mods of dvlenk6 to create ship mods. He includes instuctions on how to create mods along with the codes, inside the image mod. If you would supply the same, digdug,I would be grateful.
Darth Saber, I could make the mod for everyone, but that's not the point. The point is that I released some graphics so that beginners would learn how to make mods.
