That sums it up nicely, Digdug! I love Bobby's "Scuttle Wrecks" mod from v.98d so much, that I simply moved it to the current version, and it works great!

What I notice about the "Scuttle Shipwrecks" mod, is that the code is simple and direct vs the old manner of coding, where the scuttling action was coded like a weapon to accomplish the same desired effect.

 I actually hadn’t noticed Bobby had a mod for this, but I’d been searching for “shipwrecks” and not just “wrecks.” I based this on code snippets I’d found over on the forums, both from him and from TranscendenceGeek. I was surprised when I didn’t find a mod that seemed this obvious, so I figured I had to be overlooking something somewhere.

Great work :) I am a bit of a Loyal follower of those that Blazed many paths for us in the older versions, Bobby, prophet, Apemant, etc. it is always nice to see new versions that are just as great as the originals.

 Hm. I might should’ve tested the update a bit more before uploading it. I’m getting some weirdness with the “scuttle” option showing up on dockscreens it shouldn’t. I know what’s causing it, but I’m not quite sure how to fix it. I could probably sort things out, but for now I’m just reverting to shipwrecks only. I may leave it at that — that -is- all that the NPC ships can clear, after all, which is what I was trying to replicate.

Re-upped at 230 downloads. Minor tweak to remove a deprecated function (which, as it turns out, was unnecessary to begin with).

Re-upped at 381 downloads. Since George capped the maximum mass that NPC ships will scuttle at 2,000 tons, it seems only fair that I likewise cap the maximum mass that playerships can scuttle.

Re-upped at 382 downloads. I screwed up the code to implement the cap the first time and rather arrogantly uploaded it without checking to see if it actually worked. My bad.

Re-upped at 468 downloads. Since 1.7b4 moved shipwreck code to &dsRPGAbandonedStation instead of &dsAbandonedShip, it broke with the update and needed fixed. This should also still work with pre-1.7b4 versions.
