I've been pining for a mod that does exactly this for a month now, and suddenly it pops up on Xelerus. Saves a lot of time micro-managing looting and dumping worthless resources.

I think it is a great idea :)
however, No Resource is actually worthless : applying the resources is not always perfect and sometimes some can be of better use : but they all have a value in the universe.
( that is why we have Mule Platforms :) )
